Me= 22 fem, 5'9 168lbs, and I jog/walk 2 miles at the gym, but my heart rate = high! ~190! is this ok?
I also have relatively high cholesterol, and recently suffered a miscarriage. I don't seem to have the endurance to run too long so I alternate between speed 6.4 and 3.8, and walk at the highest incline. This may not be related, but I also have a hard time running long because I have a sharp pain below my left knee cap that feels like it comes out of the socket....any advice or help at all is appreciated.
my heart rate is that high only when running- my resting heart rate is normal, but within a minute of walking on the treadmill, it is ~145, and when I run even for short periods, it gets to around 190..
A-Best: Basically, if your heart rate at resting (not exercising) is really about 190, and a Doctor does not know about it. GO TO YOUR DOCTOR NOW!!!! Drop everything and go now. For your age... you should not be at that high even during exercise. Please be sure you have your pulse right and are not double count (1 heart beep is 2 noises).
For the pain under your knee cap, again see your doctor. Its not possible for me to say what is wrong without seeing it. I apologise about your miscarrage and wish you luck in future.
