When is traffic the lightest on I-81 next week?
I'm traveling from Winchester to Blacksburg next week down and I want to avoid the back-to-school traffic. Which day is the least busy? I thought maybe there would be traffic history reports online somewhere, but I can't find them.
A-Best: Light traffic? On I-81? :) I've never seen so many trucks on such a congested highway.
Probably the biggest factor on I-81 is the big trucks between the northeast and Atlanta, Texas and Mexico. I'm not sure when their top hours are, but I bet a truck stop would know.
Me, I would just plan for it taking a lot longer, and then take the Blue Ridge Parkway! :) Well, okay, 340 anyway. Course I think rural Shenendoah is cool, you're probably sick of it :)
