Question:

How do I know whether its a continuous spectrum or a bright line spectrum?
I know what both spectrums are, but I'm not sure how they are both seen through a spectroscope. In our lab we were looking at incandescent light through the spectroscope. Apparently incandescent light is a continuous spectrum but I am still seeing single bright lines through the spectroscope. Can someone explain this to me? 27 minutes ago - 3 days left to answer.
