What would be the best performance exhaust for a 98 Accord i-4?
Im having trouble choosing between a few. I've got a cold air intake and performance headers on already and just need to finish the exhaust before anything alse
A-Best: I would say Borla, Flowmaster or Magnaflow, First though I would have to recommend that you put them on any car other than a Honda.
A: "cold air" intake does nothing for you.
headers........ probably a small performance gain.
exhaust......... why bother!?!?
A: Really, what kind of MAP did you switch to for your Cold Air Intake? Or did you just get the pipe. If you just got the pipe, you got ripped off.
And the "best" for NA Hondas are any 2.5 inch exhaust. In theory a 3 inch straight pipe is "best", but that's illegal. You need filters and sh*t to make it legal and pass emissions along with being quiet.
Any company that sells 2.5 inch exhausts should do fine. Just because it's Greddy won't make it better than a series of pipes from a junkyard. In fact, pipes from a junkyard would be better because there won't be any filters.
As long as it is 2.5 inches - it will let your car breathe better.
If you're planning to turbocharge it, a 3 inch would be best....
Headers? Lol... Your stock manifold would've been fine. But whatever that's your choice and it is up to you to tell whoever you want to tell about the stuff that you put in your car.
