What would be the best route from Reading,PA to Mont Tremblant,CA? I-87 or I-81?
Planning on going to Canada after new years. Jan 4-8. Which highway would you suggest I-87 or I-81? Google Maps says it's a difference of 2 miles and 6 minutes. What are the benefits of each?
A-Best: I've done this drive before and the best way to get to Quebec is I-87
Take the Pennsylvania turnpike to the NJ turnpike and than take that to I-287 which will turn into I-87 ( NY thruway) which will go straight to Quebec . I Don't know how to get to mont tremblant from the border but it would be closer than taking I-81
A: Justin's answer is correct. Once you enter Canada, I-87 becomes Autoroute 15. Continue on the 15 up through Montreal. Eventually the 15 will end and become highway 117. This takes you right into Mont Tremblant.
