Should I take I-81 or I-95 to drive from NY to FL?
I'm driving a moving truck with my husband from upstate NY to Florida. I've driven I-95 numerous times before and find it boring, plus there are some traffic traps near DC and NYC. I'm thinking I-81 might be more scenic, plus we could avoid the usual traffic traps. Only downside of I-81 route is that it's 70 more miles than the I-95 route. Has anyone ridden from I-81 from NY to FL? If so, are the extra miles worth it?
A-Best: I would take I-81 to 77 South. Much more scenic and less racist cops. I just watched a DEA show on how drugs are getting from NYC to Florida and Florida to NYC. They said I-95 is the reason. They said they are targeting moving trucks and vans and box trucks. So this might save you some time of them wanting to go through your truck.
