Question:

My window motor is missing?
I think it is the motor anyways. I was trying to figure out why my window would not go up/down, so I took my door panel off. All that's left from where the motor was, is the wiring for it. (And it's in bad shape) Is it the motor? Or regulator? Or lift? It all confuses me. 97 tiburon, power windows. The window only stays up because there is a bungee cord holding it up.

A-Best: On the bottom of the window glass there should be an arm attached to it. Follow that metal arm until you get to the motor, or at least where the motor should be. Did you just buy this car and are trying get the window to work? Someone may have scavenged the motor out of it before it was sold.  

A: The mounting bolts have probably fallen out and allowed the window motor to fall down inside of the door! Might i suggest taking the car to a shop to have it fixed. If you go messing around inside the door, you could very well lose some fingers, or have other hurts put upon you! I have seen that happen, when i worked at auto repairing!
